Time Flys

Valentines Day at our house... <3
I cant believe Kiwi is already 6 months old! That is crazy. Everyday with her is getting to be a new adventure. She has started to figure things out over night. As of right now, she is a pro at rolling over, talks non stop, wiggle dances, sits up for a minute, and is starting to figure out to pull her bum up, we may have a crawler sooner than later. At her last doctor's appointment our little midget weighed in at 13.2 lbs and was 24.75 inches long. WE'VE REACHED THE 5TH PERCENTILE!!!!! Everywhere we go people continue to tell us that she is such a doll, so beautiful, has stunning blue eyes, and is SO tiny! I've been going to Physical Therapy a few times a week and Kiwi is the hit of the office. She has two men that she is in love with. The one she flirts with the hardest is a former Marine.... Mike and I are resigned to the fact that she will probably marry a Jarhead, but we find comfort in the fact that she only flirts with Grunts.

Peter Penguin and Kiwi
First beach trip!
Earlier in the month, we had an awesome visit from some of our favorite people, those same people that are responsible for Mike and I meeting! That's right folks! Uncle Pete and Aunt Tif! We got to spend two awesome days with them!!! We went to the Aquarium of the Pacific where we saw and touched a lot of cool stuff. (This is where I found out that Kiwi has ultra sensitive skin and has to have hypoallergenic sunscreen.) In the gift shop we decided to buy a little memento of our visit and got Kiwi a penguin. I think she likes him. After a slip up, the stuffed penguin is called Peter. (Insert giggle here.) While playing with Pete, Tif and their gang, we had our first family beach trip!! Learning my lesson from the previous day thinking I had sunburned the Kiwibug, we bought a hat. Yes, its a boys hat, but it was the only one that fit. We had a lot of fun watching the Petes in the ocean. And of course, a weekend with Pete and Tif wouldn't be complete with out some football, so we watched the Superbowl...and cried.

Its insane to think about how much difference time makes. Last year at this time, Mike had left for South Korea for three long months and I was in Idaho with my head still reeling from the fact I was pregnant. Now, fast forward 12 months. We have a 6 month old, spent our first Valentines together and Mike was invited to be on a competition shooting team with the USMC!! I hope one day it doesnt sound odd to say "my daughter" or "my husband", still giggle when I say the last one. Anyway, to make your day and prove to the Grandma's Kiwi does laugh, here is a video. The quality is horrible, but its not about the picture, its about giggles. Enjoy!
